set sell after buy now
-
Hi,
I am using trailing stop.
my problem:
for example price is now 1000 and I set a buy position with SL: 800 and TP: 1500 and it goes to profit a bit about 1200 and after a while, price decrease and as I am using trailing stop so, my buy position close at 1100.
Now I want to set a sell position right now after previous position is closed by expert.
buy pending order is not good idea because it needs to price offset and I dont know when trailing stop would be active?!
Please help me. -
on chart - trade closed by SL - buy/sell
-
@jstap Thank you for your kind response. could you please more explain? I could not find trade closed by SL - on chart segment.
-
Is only available on the chart tab position/trade closed the SL is inside
-
@jstap Could you please show me in this page?

Look at the tab used at the top in orange:

-
@jstap Ok. But unfortunately, I dont know what I have to do for my question?
I want to open position after previous position stopped or get TP or between them. without it needs to see other situations in my strategy, -
That block has that option - select the reason you want to do something if a trade closes - attach a buy/sell block
-
@jstap Ok. I got it. But I want to it open a SELL position after I had BUY,
Or, it open a BUY position after I had SELL.
with one TRADE CLOSED block I can do only one of them.
https://fxdreema.com/shared/PD7cxG56e -
set up 2 trees, one for buys, and 1 for sells, that way whatever has just closed will activate the relevant tree
-
@jstap Do you mean these thing:
https://fxdreema.com/shared/5dYzD7lLc
I did it, but it open positions buy and sell without pay attention my strategy.
I mean for example, I tested it with 1 Lot in "On Trade" tab in position buy or sell and it only open with 1 lot. -
If that places trades, then as 1 closes it will open the next. It must be too big lot size for the account size, check the journal tab and it should say why
-
@jstap No No, Please consider my example. I have no problem with LOT!
Let me explain again!
Based my strategy, I will have buy or sell. For example, I have buy position right now so maybe it close with Stop. I want to open reverse position (sell in these example) after I get stop loss and reverse, when my Sell position stopped with Stop-loss, I need open new Buy position.
Well, based on your suggestion (trade closed the SL is inside), I did it on tab ON-TRADE. after this event, It open position based on sell and buy which located in tab ON-TRADE not ON-TICK?
Is it clear? -
You have SL or TP which means once a trade has been placed it will continually run from the on trade tab.

-
@jstap No I want it run once time, when for example current BUY position get stop lost It must run SeLL and after that it must be run based on my strategy (SELL position) which located at ON-TICK tab and again if it get stop lost it runs once time Buy position
(I am using SUPERTREND indicator) -
YES! I have said what will happen, so correct your logic...
-
@jstap Dear jstap,
Please recommend another way. I want after my EX, get stop Loss, It run a position reverse for only once time.
based on your advice, It always runs ON-TRADE. -
No, on trade it works on sl or tp so add logic as to when this can happen, then on tick will do what you want any other time
-
@jstap According to your advice, I made two trees. one for BUY positions which must get Sell after stopLoss (based on ON-TRADE tab) And
one for SELL positions which must get BUY after stopLoss (based on ON-TRADE tab); The problem is that when I get StopLoss, both of trees get run (Buy and sell).
While I detemined and filtered which of them must be don at ONTRADE tab.

-
It shouldn't, it never has done for me, get each tree to write text if activated, and then you can see which one is responsible
