Hello there
I am working on creating EAs to find the best indicator settings. Is it possible to use EAs from fxDreema to work with the Optimization feature on MT4? When I go into the Strategy Tester there, there is a Magic Number but compared to the sample EAs that come with MT4, there is not an apparent way to let the Strategy Tester automatically find the settings.

Picture One is a the Expert Properties screen from an Aroon EA I made here, and Picture Two is the same kind of screen but from MT4's provided EA example called Moving Average.

What exactly do you want to compare, as with all optimisation the results are something you compare.

I want to compare the settings of an indicator that has been converted into an EA and then run through MT4's optimisation feature, as described in this blog-post under the heading "Optimizing" - Stonehill Forex website, article named "Using the MT4 Strategy Tester".

Set the start - step - stop and you will get a different result for every step change
