Risk Management- Risk % of free margin HELP

When I use the risk management function "Risk % of Free Margin", my EA will always use up the entire amount of my free margin so it is zero or lower. I could set the % to 1% and it will still use it all up. For examples, I used 30% on EURUSD with a 10,000 account and it purchased 4.5 lots. When I used 1% of free margin with the same TP and SL it also purchased 4.5 lots. I want to be able to risk only a certain amount in order to avoid margin calls. Any help with this or another method other than manually entering it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

@jwojtas33 Honestly I never used that option. Did you try higher balances in your demos tests and got the same results?
