Draw text on chart

Hi,
I need to check the value of a variable once a day by plotting it on the chart.
However the "draw text" function does not work on MT5 and there is no output on the chart whatsoever.
Even drawing a simple text once a day does not work:

There must be a problem with the code. Please help.

solved: works in "visual" backtesting mode only. Seems to be a MT5 issue.

2 months later and this lets me know its an MT5 issue...or Dreema to MT5 issue, not sure.

it must be done in chart, no on tick. fixed.
