Indicator Is Visible, additional candles
-

Any time I add a number to allow it to search more candles, it stops working entirely. I've tried just adding a number to the top one, and it ceases all trading. I then tested to see if I do 2 in the top and 1 in the bottom. Still no trades. Remove both, back to 0, trades as it should.

@tipsywisdom I am unsure why but the fractal is only ever on 1 candle, ID2 (which may repaint) or ID3 or higher.

It repaints when it starts on 2, 3 is always there...but if you go and individually change the fractal Id's to 4,5,6,7...it will work just fine. For some reason though, just that space of "additional candles" seems to break the block.

@tipsywisdom If it paints on 2 but then repaints it won't paint on 3, on to it efectivily guesses that it will be correct by the time 2 becomes 3, but if wrong it delets to be repainted at another time.

No, thats not it...its the bill williams fractal. BW fractal typically requires 5 candles to count as a fractal. 2 on either side, but sometimes it will show an arrow on 2. If its on 3, its there and isn't going anywhere.
Either way though, thats not my issue.
For example. If I have it set to CID3, fractals will be there, if it is indeed a fractal candle. Undisputed fact. If I have it set to 4, fractals will be there, if it is indeed a fractal candle. Undisputed fact. If I have it set to 5, fractals will be there, if it is indeed a fractal candle. Undisputed fact.
The problem though is that I should be able to enter 3 in the candle ID section, and then also put another number in additional candles, and it should continue to search past C3 by that number. No matter what you put there, it doesn't detect fractals anymore...regardless of the candle ID you have as well.

It should act as a loop essentially. Just adding a candle number by the number you put in "additional candles"

@tipsywisdom Maybe but the additional candles in that block expects to see the fractal arrow on more than 1 consecutive candle which never happens, I try to stay away from fractal because it never sees to identify like other indicators.

Interesting...where did your understanding of it must be consecutive come from? Not that I'm arguing..just trying to understand who's reading the english wrong here...and since I speak American... you're probably right. LOL

@tipsywisdom That is how it has always worked for me, is also how is sounds to me when reading.
