Pips Distance and Value

Hi guy,
i made an EA that open and manage position from pending orders.
I put the Open price of the first order of the instrument in a variable in the "On Trade" tab and then calculate the distance from the first order when i open a new one in the "On Tick" tab. And then convert the result in pips by dividing the absolute result by /Point.
My problem is that for gold i get 1 pip for 1 cent which is what i am looking for but for forex pairs i get point value instead.
Is there a solution to have Pips for both?

I think Gold is 10 as apposed to 1 for other pairs...

For example: The Spread for EURUSD can be 1 whereas on Gold it will be 10....

@Morpheus_0 Correct, pip size rules for gold are usually different than those for forex symbols in most brokers.
