How to manage trades by magic number

Hi there I am trying to have the EA check to see if any trades or pending orders exist by my EA before placing another pending or order. How do I do this? Do I use group number?

The Group number... I don't know, it depends. Better learn what is the idea of the thing called "Magic Number", then you will get the idea of this Group number better and you will know when to use it.
