IF TRADE OR NO IF TRADE?

When creating an EA to close out a trade, is it necessary to use "If Trade"?
Or can I just put the appropriate filter on the "Close Trade" block to close the trade or trades on the pair?

No, it's not necessary. If there is no trade to be closed, nothing will be closed, "Close Trade" will appear to do nothing
