My EA is waiting for Tick

Hello, my name is thomas and i am creating and testing/backtesting ea`s for about 6 months.
Now i have a problem. I have createt a little ea that works when i test it on fdax chart. I have testet it on a live account and it worked pretty good. Now i want to test the same ea on a dow jones mini future chart, but the ea does not open trades. The status is: waiting for tick. How can i solve this problem? Can i create the ea under "on timer" instead of under "on tick"?
I hope anyone has an idea.

But it must work when you put things under on Tick. I don't know what is wrong in your case, I don't even remember people reporting such thing. Maybe you are working on an offline chart, I don't know

OK, the ea is working now. I have just closed and reopened the Chart and the ea.
