Use variables in buy now and other 'condition' nodes

Hi, is it possible to use variables in the buy now volume fields and sl tp fields as well as for example bull candle fields. The idea being to modify variables under certain conditions. I have tried right clicking and setting the volume as variable x as example but what happens is when the ea is compiled it does not let you click start or expert properties, these buttons do not do anything when the ea is loaded in strategy tester. Thank you

Have you created those variables at the 'Variables' tab of the builder? If so you must select them by right clicking on the SL/TP fields of the block.

Hi, yes declared under variables tab. I just checked, volume field and sl, tp can use variable and can adjust, i.e its working. But when it comes to using bull candle and trying to modify the value for candle size, my ea does not start if I click start. Using double type and value 1 as example

If your tester refuses to start, there is usually some error. Check the journal

error says tester cannot load ea, that's all

Do you actually have the .ex4 file? The only reasons for the "Start" button to not work that I know is that the file is broken or missing. Can MetaTrader read the file is my question
