i know how the ATR works mate, this doesnt asnwer the problem. The ATR value is fixed everyday and the block should never output 40 lots, ive used the ATR in fxdreama for 5 years and only recently for gbphpy its outputting a 40 lot trade and on the next pass its calculatiing correctly.

yes, it is possible, because the lot size depends on the stop loss. Since the stop loss is based on the ATR, we have no idea how much it is (10 pips away? or 150 pips away?). I personally avoid using atr as a stop loss or take profit. I suggest you these two topics to better understand how atr works.

@YOUUNMEE It happens when there is not enough margin to open a new position. A few years ago I set up this way to check the margin. This is valid on forex pairs (no indices, no metal...ecc..)
Put these blocks just above your buy/sell market/pending orders and below your condition to trigger trades

I think someone here can write a few code lines to include all instruments

@Morpheus_0 yes, the message appears here and there when the trailing stop moves only. I'm surprised he doesn't place trades because of that. What are the conditions to open those trades?

Not a problem, i think you are using trailing stop. Since the stop is virtual, it will not found, but you can see on chart a pink line move as stop loss (your virtual stop loss)

@muhammadsayahy as jstap said above, "indicator appears" block is the right one. Only make sure to put candle ID1 everywhere inside blocks. Most indicators do not work on candle ID0 or empty.

Not in MT navigator, but in the PC folder, right where the file was saved. Ctrl+Shift+D from metatrader

@jpsam If you want to make changes on source code directly, you can double click on the mq file in your PC folder and it will be opens in Metaeditor directly

I have no problem on my side. The issue is related to backtest, live, or both of them? Have you checked the journal already? It does not work or not compiling?
