    • RE: Hi & Low of Current Day Values

Hi I've tried modify variable block to get the high low of day but I can't get it to place a pending order beneath/above that variable.

I have tried the following using the market properties and server time but again can't get a pending order to work. Logic seems sound, if current minute candle high is the same as the market properties price high then sell pending n pips below?

      Any guidance would be appreciated!

Hi @pacificnet-lk Thanks for your help. Do you mean Delete Pending Orders block as I can't find a close allpending orders block?

    • RE: Hi & Low of Current Day Values

Hello @l-andorrà Thank you I will try this.

It's a pretty simple system. Basically sets a pending order for a reversal n pips from the high or low.

If a new hod or lod forms without the pending order being filled it gets deleted and another pending is placed.

I was thinking if this could be done on the minute candle close to save lots of orders placed then cancelled?

    • RE: Pending Order Grid same SL for all orders

Hi I'm no expert but I experienced this when you use the pips away from open price block, this closes all open trades on the stop loss of the parent trade. However it doesn't open pending's, just opens when price reaches your set pip gap/grid that you set.

    • Hi & Low of Current Day Values

Hi I'm trying to test a few ideas and need to set pending orders from n pips above/below the current low/high. Then deletes and resets the old pending if a new one is triggered.

I think I'm on the right track, if anyone has looked at this before then i would be grateful for any tips/hints!

    • RE: Bucket of Trades and Add to Value Opposite Side

@l-andorrà Having thought through this more carefully I don't think I would achieve a great deal for the overall system. I am trying to avoid a martingale scenario but I think I would just ultimately increase the risk on one side due to Murphy's Law...!

    • RE: Bucket of Trades and Add to Value Opposite Side

      Hi @l-andorrà

This particular system has open buys and sells simultaneously.
Most times a basket goes into several trades on one side and the other side will take single trades or smaller basket trades. The idea is if one side has a multiple open before the other side i.e. buys 2 =>trades then the sell side would open 2x the value.. and revert when closed, etc.

    • RE: Bucket of Trades and Add to Value Opposite Side

Think it is because block 10 needs to look at block 3 to get the current volume? So this would need to be a constant/variable?

Any clue why this isn't adding to volume on the second signal, please?

    • RE: Bucket of Trades and Add to Value Opposite Side

So the logic I'm trying to capture is as basket buys are at 0.01 (greater than one buys) but going into drawdown the sell trade opens using it's own signal, this size opens a 200% the value of buys at 0.02.
Sells continues to open at 0.02 until the buy side closes. Sells will stay at 0.02 until the sell side closes, if any new buys open whilst the 0.02 basket sell is running they would be at the starting trade size of 0.01

      @l-andorrà

Yes I guess it will work out similar however the overall close logic could be different making it a bit of a hybrid. Also I wouldn't be looking at increasing the opposite side more than 200% of the starter side.. each "trade" is treated as 1 batch as one batch buy and one batch sell (if both buy and sell open).

    • Bucket of Trades and Add to Value Opposite Side

      Hi

I'm trying to test an idea which works by getting the minimum trade value of a basket and if that basket is still running with open trades on either the buy side OR the sell side (all same value) when an opposite signal is triggered that side looks at the 1st open trade size and adds to value.

      example:
4x basket sells are open at 0.01

Buy signal triggers and opens at 200% of the sell trade side at 0.02 for buys

      basket sells close

basket Buy trades are at 0.02

Sell trigger and because we have buys still open at 0.02 it opens the next sell trade at 0.04 and so on.

If both buys and sells are closed and there is no open trade left then the next trade would be at the original size chosen.

Just starting this project tomorrow onwards if anyone wants to help along?

    • RE: Why does Stop Loss in Pips Closes All Open?

@biztet I just used the sell or buy block and set SL to to n pips. It seems a standard setting to not treat trades individually within the block ?

    • Why does Stop Loss in Pips Closes All Open?

Hi just wondering if anyone knows why the stop loss in pips closes allopen trades in that direction from parent trade?

      example:

Sell trade 1 with 100 pip stop loss
Sell trade 2 with 100 pip stop loss (50 pips away from 1st sell).

When sell 1 reaches 100 pip SL it closes both instead of just sell 1 and leaving sell 2 running?
