This is the fxdreema link that can be used to test - https://fxdreema.com/shared/9ShVj6sBb
To test please create a vertical line on chart named: FXSSI.CALENDAR#news-line
It correctly shows 5mins before and after news but, the boolean news filter that uses timefilter does not work correctly, probably due to time format stored in the string variables. If anyone could have a look, it would be great. The displayed time on chart seem to be correct.
Do you guys think is approach could be simpler to implement. With more prop firms banning news trading, its important to have some way to avoid getting caught out. So, there is the link to get the TIME for next economic news. I am sure we could play around and only include future time etc. It is based on FSSI calendar MT5 - both MT4 and MT5 link here - https://fxssi.com/forex-news-indicator-mt4
I am just testing it - key is to get the time the next news will occur based on vertical line FSSI draws on the chart. Then we could simply use timeshift to avoid before and after news event.
here is the shared project (testing): https://fxdreema.com/shared/LTcWVEmud
I am not fully sure what issue might occur but getting time for next event based on the object name created by FSSI vertical line, could solve this issue of news trading.

May be its not fully related to this but instead of opening new thread i would like to ask. How is it possible to check the symbol of each open position against a text input Symbol pattern. Like, check if currently loaded position is XAU? symbol including XAUUSD, XAUUSD.raw etc. I have attached what i am trying to check to clarify

Re: Flags
Hi Guys
I have some bool variables set to false in the variable input section. I wanted to use these variable to with block Set Flag (True or false) so that the flag name does not have to be typed each time. Appears that it does not work until the variable name is typed onto the flag name field. Also CHECK FLAG don't seem to do anything if variable is pulled rather than typed. Can anyone clarify if this is expected behaviour.
@ambrogio
No you wouldn't. MT5 server time is GMT+2 or GMT+3 no matter where the broker is located. So let's not argue nonsense, let someone who understands this provide some help. My local time is Australia time, so none of what you have said applies anyway
Why does it matter? The 3 times (GMT, SERVER and LOCAL) that were emailed should not be the same regardless of what the server time is.
By the way, the server time is the that the time emailed: 13:14:04
GMT Local Time and Server TIme all show the same values. This should not be the case. I tested it by sending an email with these values. They are all the same. Can someone please clarify. GMT time should return Current London time, is it?
Here is the email sent by EA:

How can I use the block called Close Least Profitable Position in ontrade tab and have it close only the least profitable position? I see that it closes multiple positions. So if there are multiple losing trades, logically it should only close only least profitable. As its inside ontrade tab, shouldn't it run once? Any suggestion would be great
