How does the counter for consecutive losses reset? Since no trade will enter, every time it runs it will still see the last three losses, right?

Can someone help out with this configuration/idea?

After a list of conditions have been met, I want to check that if there have been X amount of consecutive losses, if so then wait X amount of time to re-run the blocks (I would have this set on every bar, and reset the consecutive loss counter back to 0.

If there is less than X consecutive losses, then move forward with the trade.

I am starting to realize now as I dive more into EAs, that your close trade strategy is just as if not the most important aspect of your EA compared to your indicators.

I am curious what folks have come up with for their strategies of closing trades.

Do you simply close any open ones of the same type and open new ones?
Do you close based on static or dynamic SL/TP levels regardless of how many trades open?

I am aiming at an EA (for right now) to work on scalping the major pairs, 5 or 15min.

Thanks. For some reason when I back test my EA it doesnt show up with the SSD like it does it other indicators (like RSI and ATR), like it doesnt even look at it....

On the SSD, what is considered the main line and what is considered the signal line?

The fast stochastic is the ______ line.
The slow stochastic is the _____ line.

Currently i have a static TP/SL on a 2:1 ratio, but they are fixed pips amount. Curious what others do for dynamic TP/SL and if anyone can point me to a guide or tutorial on setting something up based off price or other means. Thanks!

So you have done back testing on your EA, on numerous pairs, over different time frames, and aiming to be a short-term trader (up to and including scalping). Your EA isn't making enough trades.

Your crossover is set at 14/48 (EMA). Think those are too long of EMAs?
