    • RE: Close Positions

      Greetings,

      I am not sure I understand. Why don't you show me both ways.

      My logic is that if it opened a position on the first candle, then close the position on the second candle opening price.

      0_1600429060923_f4b1a780-6931-4182-bc8d-fc17aabe1d50-image.png

      If you notice from the picture above, it opened a selling position on a candle based on the condition, and it took a while for it to close. I do not want that. I want when any position is opened, if it did not take profit, then I want it to close on the next candle's opening price.

      Your response is much appreciated

      Greetings @l-andorrà ,

      I see. Well, how about the following:

      Let's assume, the EA opened a position, and I want the EA to close on the next candle's opening price. How do we do that?

    • Close Positions

      Greetings,

      Just a quick questions, assumingly a position is opened, how do we close the position when the candle closes. I am not sure how to explain it. But in simple terms, you are opening and closing the position on the same candle. However, the difference is that your are closing the position when the candle closes.

    • Moving average

      Greetings,

      I would like to create an EA where there are 3 moving averages.
      The conditions are the following.

      First off, we have 2 Moving Average that move in pairs; the 200 High Exponential Moving Average and the 200 Low Exponential Moving Average. If both moving averages are above the 800 Opening Simple Moving Average, then the interest is to open only buy position. If both moving averages are below the 800 Opening Simple Moving Average, then the interest is to open a sell position. In simple terms where both moving averages are found, will determine what future position will be taken. Kindly note that if only one of the moving averages are found in either side, then no position shall be take; either both moving averages are found on one side or no position will be taken.

      After we have determined what kind of position we have interest in opening, we have to identify our entry points. If we have interest in selling, then I want the EA to open a selling position when price closes under the 200 Low Exponential Moving Average. If we have interest in buying, then I want the EA to open a buy position when price closes above the 200 High Exponential Moving Average.

      Assumingly we opened a selling position, the closing condition will be when price closes above the 200 High Exponential Moving Average. If we open a buy position, the closing condition will be when price closes below the 200 Low Exponential Moving Average.

      Kindly notice the entry position is reliant on where both 200 Exponential Moving Average is found, but the closing position is not. Position are opened only once for every time the condition is met.

      • Just a side note, I would like to add a condition where if spread is more than one then we have interest in opening a position (the number of spread must be adjustable).

    • Opening position only once

      Greetings,

      How do we create a system where positions are opened only once when conditions are met (I tried using once per bar, but it kept opening positions).

      Greetings @l-andorrà

      My apologies, I just thought we drifted away from the point of solving my problem (we talked about brokers for some reason). At this point, my project has been changed, but the problem remains.

      I want you to have a look at my shared project below. All I want is to know is how to close an opened position after a set of candles at their opening or closing price (it must be adjustable); not time because I tried the expiration method and it did not work. As much as I would love to resolve the issue of the expiration, my priority is to see how can we close a position once a new candle is opened. That is all, nothing more, nothing less.

    • Close position after a specific time.

      Greetings @roar

      I kindly request your urgent assistance. I only want you to answer one question.

      After a position is opened, how can I close the position immediately when:

      1. Either a new candle is opened (close position at the new opening candle price)

      or

      1. After a specific time has passed (I tried using expiration, but it did not work).

      Greetings @l-andorrà

      We have problem. The answers that you gave me, weren't too accurate, because it did not answer my questions as I thought it would, nor did it show me how to perform certain amendments. Assumingly I was not clear, I will repeat some of my questions with a but with a visual output.

      Below is my first issue:

      0_1600102025593_6b90de66-2925-47e6-91e3-27f8bfb26d77-image.png

      Take a look at the picture above. It took a while for the opened position to close, and I amended the expiration and the equity as you will see in the shared project below. I do not want that, I want the position to either close when a new candle is opened, or x candles after the position is opened (where x is the number of after how many candles should the opened position must be closed) or When my equity has decreased by 20%. Which bring me to the next questions.

      Below is my second issue:

      0_1600103310145_6a533c94-9262-407a-968e-2c3dd4be3a9a-image.png

      As you can see from the picture above, the equity has decreased more than 20%, yet the expert advisor did not close the position. I add the condition of accounts as you will see in the shared link below. Essentially when equity, has fallen under the current/updated balance by 20%, then I would like the EA to close the position.

      Below, you can find the shared project:

      https://fxdreema.com/shared/QLpqupq4d

      I am positive I have done something wrong, and I apologize if I was not clear.

      Your earliest and urgent response is much appreciated.

      @l-andorrà Greetings,

      I have 3 questions I would like to ask.

      1. How do we create a system where, if I opened a position, and after 2 candles, the position is still opened, then I want the EA to close the position.

      2. How do we create a system where, every time my balance grows, the lot sizes increase? For example, if I started with 1,000 USD, and after a while my balance increases by 2%, then increase the lot by 0.01; So, every time the current balance increases by 2%, then increase the lot sizes (the numbers must be adjustable).

      3. How do we create a system when, if the equity has decreased by 10%, then close position all positions (Numbers must be adjustable).

      @l-andorrà Your earliest response is much appreciated.

      @l-andorrà

      If you can explain to me what is the profit amount, that would be great; Like what does the number represent. I type in one, what does that mean? Does that mean that if total positions profit 1 USD then it will close all positions?

      when the ea opens positions, if it did not take profit within the same bar the ea opened the position, then I want to close the position.

      Also, if we can make it adjustable, for instance, i do not want it to close position within the same bar (if it did not take profit), I want it to close position after 2 bars for example

      the next question is how do we create a system, where if all positions are opened, and if I ought to close allm positions to result in profit; like how do we check if all position ought to be closed and result in profit, I want the EA to do that, does that make sense

      How do we open multiple positions if conditions are met?

    • RE: Strong Confirmation

      @l-andorrà Greetings,

      I swear I believe I have a memory of a goldfish, but I honestly forgot to ask you another question. How do we create a system where if the account increases by 2%, the increase the lot by 0.01, and if account decreases by 2%, the decrease the lot by 0.01.

      So essentially I have the trading strategy, I just want to know how to:

      1)Open a limited number of position when conditions are met.

      2)If the majority of positions are in profit (therefore outweighing the losses or have potential to recover the loss and end up in profit), then close all position.

      3)If account increases by 2% then increase the lot sizes (if initial deposit was 1000 USD, and then it increased to 1020 USD, then increase lot by 0.01. Then if the amount of 1020 increased by 2% (it became 1040.4) then increase the lot by 0.01) So it is more of a revolving method.

      1. If opened position are not closed after 10 bars/candles, the close the position.

      Hopefully, I won't remember anything else.

      If anything is not understandable, please do let me know.

      Your earliest response is much appreciated.

      @l-andorrà Greetings,

      I think I have figured it out, I manipulated my strategy a bit. However, I do have a follow up question. How do we create a system when, for every time conditions are met, open 10 positions; how to create a system where it will a open X numbers of position where X is a number.

      Also, how do we create a system where if multiple positions are opened, and if the total profit out of all the positions are opened exceed 20%, then close all positions.
