    • RE: "Check Age" for Pending Order based on Candle Time

@eklonsousa Counting the bars is very useful trick, but it gets messy if you have multiple orders.
To get x candles expiration instead of x time expiration, I would just convert the desired bars to a time value , all the requirements are there.

Closed market will be a problem, though.

@kfrivaldo Hi! It is about the broker. FXTM and ICMarkets have very good quality all the way to 2010, I think. MT5 downloads the data automatically.

@setsuna What is the purpose of that pink block? It doesn't do anything, you can delete it

@toddler4372 said in Create Grid with Conditions of Minimum Distance + Indicator Signals:

      Any help?

It does access the same conditions for all orders - the whole grid is always set up at once.

Grid size and offset parameters are a bit weird to use, its is not very intuitive.
To get limit orders instead of stops, try these inputs (the offset is exaggerated):

@toddler4372 Have you tried to put your X pips to the "Base price: Offset"? Does that work?

@oneceo Just go ahead and backtest this. You will see that it is not very good, needs improvement

@wralyn It does open trades for me. Maybe it is your backtest settings - try different timeframes and different model accuracy, and also reset the inputs from expert properties

    • RE: Buy or Sell side opposite pending order repeat issue?

@oneceo This can be done, but there is a problem - what if the price touches the level 100 times in one minute, for example? Do you want 100 new orders then?
If you want only 1 order at a time, when does this order expire if price never reaches it?

    • RE: A Place to discuss, optimize and share profitable Ea's?

For that purpose it is easier to use a trigger variable which value can be 0 or 1:
      0_1563473704884_ed69ec52-f6a9-4b6a-8b65-3d332db6570b-image.png

Note that this trigger allows infinite time between the 2 indicator signals. You can implement the barcount thing to set a time limit for the 2.

      @wralyn
      https://fxdreema.com/shared/bmjLmGife
So the variable increases +1 on every bar. Now we can reset it when something important happens, and for further condition triggers, we can check how low the barcount value is (=how recently the previous trigger happened).

Hope you get the idea, and can modify it to your needs 🙂

Comment-block is useful in tracking the variable value, or alternatively, put a text object under each candle

@wralyn Yes, I often use similar logic. Easiest way is to use a bar counter - just a sec I'll make example

Could you share the project from the Projects menu (upper left).
Also, could you explain a bit more of the logic?

      • When new orders are created?
      • What should happen when a trade is opened?
      • Do the orders have expiration timer?

And finally, you can paste pictures directly to this forum, just press ctrl+v 😉

I don't think there is any virtual stops, no... The "real" stops are in the buy now / sell now blocks, you can remove them.
