in order to troubleshoot, I would also recommend not optimizing and just running 1 scenario on live backtest, so you can read the journal.

As with what has been said though, I have done many things to optimize and speed up my historical data searching;
- terminate failing EA scenarios...i.e. if my profit drops 10% below the starting balance, it terminates the rest of the scenario from completing.
- terminate EAs that dont create enough profit over time
- terminate EAs that fail X # of trades in a row
- never operate on a tick by tick basis. Always operate on candle closing scenarios, even for check profit settings...i.e. ALL ACTIONS MUST BE CHECKED ONCE PER MINUTE AT THE FASTEST.

@Ipod It's small. No more than 62 blocks.
the project may be small, but you are trying to optimize more than 1000 scenarios.
You shouldnt ever be optimizing that many paramaters. In my experience, projects that have that many variables are made to try to find a strategy utilizing data, and it just doesnt work. EAs that work are simple trading strategies that are proven to have worked.

RE: Identify help pleaseposted in Questions & Answers
I always use 0 (zero) for inputting unknowns. For some reason, whenever I try to actually type a color name it doesnt work right...only 0 works for me, and then I manually change them all to what I want and then save my set file.

RE: My robots are making lots of profit in demo but can't trigger in live account in HF Markets pls can any help me which brokers support fxdreama in live trading accounts plsposted in Questions & Answers
check your journal in metatrader when its supposed to be trading. Most problems I have run into have to do with lot size.

That's the Holy Grial, my friend! There is not 'best way'. You need to find the better solution for your strategy context.
But there is.

RE: Is there a way to check if a position was opened market or by a pending?posted in Questions & Answers
you can make "comments" within each buy and sell block within Dreema, so when the trade is entered, is it given that comment within MT5. Each block can have its own separate comment

Yes this is great jstap.
I am finding success with timing the trade exits, more so than relying just on stop losses. Particularly when it comes to trading multiple currency pairs in the account. I can monitor the equity swings closely and I'm recording when the equity highs occur to help refine the strategy
timed exits are phenomenal.

I think you can use the 'value' option, and then just manually type the name of the variable or constant.

For me when you do something for people, they have to understand the basics to what you have done, so if something doesn't work as they expect, they can understand why. That being said I have thought about doing it.
UpWork brother, hell, adding a blurb in your signature here for the existing people who have money and no time is surely already a large pool. People still DM me even though I've removed my signature.

@fxbam yeah, me too. I am actually teaching FXdreema for living now and that affialite thing would help me alot. Hoping in the future.
Without revealing figures, how much demand is there for this and what are the earnings like for teaching? 4/5/6 figures per year $?
Cheers
alternatively, folks can just get onto UpWork or the like, and advertise that you can help people. Also advertising that you charge people to learn this, on this platform isn't against the rules. If you are stopping to help people on a forum, your time is probably a lot more valuable than a few share link affiliate pennies you will make just to drive more traffic here to make more pennies. i.e. Drive people to your profile if the website operator won't help.

RE: fxDreema affiliateposted in General Discussions
I would imagine there is some room for consideration on @fxDreema part
If landorra, JSTAP, and Roar and co stopped supporting people, that would either result in someone else stepping up to try to help...or the userbase would become less. On the other hand, you incentivize people to support what you dont have the time to do, and they teach people how to use it....now you use get more users. But as it has been said before. Mr Dreema isn't in this for the money game. He makes enough with what exists to not need to do anymore, so why do more?

very good! Thanks Roar.
Thatll go well right along with a few of the EA termination blocks I use such as after X failed trades, terminate EA....or after X drawdown, terminate EA....not enough profit over time...TERMINATE!

Excellent post Sir. Large dose of truth in that mixed with a bit of expectation management.
