    • RE: Strategy Results, Good? Bad? Okay?

      @l-andorrà Maybe while the robot is running this week, maybe it will get enough money to afford tickdata.

      It just missed taking a trade right now, it was supposed to enter long at 1.22535 today on EURUSD and it hasn't.

      Just stopping in here to see how these results compare to everyone elses EA's that are being created. I completed this one on the last day of 2020 just to see how it did through the year.

      Any suggestions on how to get better modelling quality within the MT4 software, better than 90%?

    • RE: EMA Shift Cross

      In my bit of experience, always build your robots to either buy or sell. Do not do it for both because it is very hard to say the same rules that work one way are going to work the other, just because its opposite. Also, when getting very detailed, it is easy to miss small things, especially when you are using rules that are opposite of each other trying to buy and sell in the same EA.

      regarding high quality history, any suggestions on a broker that can achieve near 100% accuracy? Best I have with AAFX is 25% on 1 minute, and everything else is 90% or 75%, regardless of what I do in history center.

      Slightly, I think its going to end up being an EA that is only based on time and not conditions of indicators. We'll see what happens, thank you.

      @khacdiepvnc Do you really want a martingale? They are not profitable in the long run!

      ^ What he said, Martingale was never considered a great way to gamble. The person who wins is the one who has the most money.

      @aeivan

      I think the If Trade is in the wrong place on first glance...at least it feels wrong to me. It looks wrong, because once one of the previous conditions is false, it will stop closing out trades.

    • Time Based Price Action search

      Heres an interesting thought:

      I want to create an EA that will compare the price at W time to price at X time. If W price is lower than X price, place order at Y time to SELL. If W price is higher than X price, place order at Y time to BUY.

      I keep scrolling through options, but aside from constantly searching for the parameter, and then just limiting it by time, I'm not sure how to do it.

    • RE: Price Not Crossed MA in X Candles

      could it also have been done using market properties range?

      I'll think of it and post a version sort of how you explained above and see if its similar.

      or possible the Price X Indicator block?

    • RE: MACD Divergence

      I would play with the MACD threshold, I found that to work in weird ways when I was trying to mess with it....but I got it to work for very small profits on a weird EA I made some time ago.

    • Pips Away from MA

      Hello Friends,
      I am trying to draw an arrow on my chart when the last 30M candle low is below the 50SMA, less 400 pips.

      Another way to say; draw an arrow when on a 30M chart, the price goes 400 pips below the 50SMA.

    • RE: Close with money profit

      Maybe because you have a take profit on the buy now? Maybe remove that and the other one will take over.

    • RE: Profit Math

      I'm glad I could assist with the moral decision...unfortunately it is in MT5 and I am unable to test for results.

      So looking through I'm asking myself a few things;

      1. Why in the first 2 condition blocks on each side did you put symbol as "USDollar"? I would remove them, normally you can only place the EA on 1 pair at a time so why specify that one just 1 or 2 of the whole blocks in the chain?
      2. At the end of running a test do your buys and sells make the same profit with the same draw down or does the buy column do better than sell?
      3. I understand what you are saying about perfect experts and indicators...some people say that they're a waste of time as they are always telling you what you already know.
      4. The total concept of the strategy...I don't know if it could work well. Its almost as if you are fighting making a decision but I am hopeful it will work for you

      @josecortesllobat

      hahahha... he said, thanks for not being selfish with your time, but I'm gonna keep being selfish with my awesome ea thought!

      @AlphaOmega I used to conflict myself with that too but realizing its no different than the world of business and inventions. Most likely someone else has already thought about it, but unless you share your idea nobody can help you. If you can't share it, nobody else can have the chance to invest in you and your idea.
