    • RE: ATR Stop loss help (Bollinger Bands)

the logic would be to place the desired stop loss into a varible, and then use a variable modification block, or formula block to create another variable, that is simple the value of first variable(ATR*20000) - 22 pips, and the modifed results would be your 2nd variable and new SL. From there, within the Buy block, you would set a custom pip value to your SL, then use the value selection and right click, selecting your final modified variable.

    • RE: Do you use your EA for live trading?

@biztet no, I do not consider things in my trading. I don't factor news especially. Most of my trading strategy relies on very small percentage risk, very specific timed entries, and price action. For the EA I linked, it relies on 1 indicator and price action, all across 5 different time views.

@biztet I did put a free very simple EA in the tutorial section. I took that one, made a few changes to it and produced a very good ea...on backtest. But I've got another EA going with a piece of that strat built in so we'll see how it goes. with forward testing

Absolutely. I will let you know after forward testing is complete. I think I will have enough data in February. So far it traded exactly as historical. 4 win, 1 loss...and that was on a week for shorting.

      Hello folks, I am interested to know what is the blocks that I would use for the logic of;
If a long order has been placed on one pair, open a short order on another pair.

    • RE: Fibonacci level option isnt working

at this moment I just realized that you use the modify variables block to modify variables rather than reusing the formula block and placing the value of the first variable on the left follow by the 2nd variable giving me a 3rd variable.

Thanks for asking that questions Z and thanks R for the response!

@piotras10000 How are those candles identified? Why are those candles selected for a trade and not any other one?

Because they are the best ones in hind sight, like all the best youtubers point at! hahaah

      Hello World!
This tread seems like an open/general tread and so i'm saying it here. And to answer this tread question is, YES.
Maybe i'm lack of strategies in playing with candle/lines/price, or not understand at all. Reading all your questions with all the strategies, calculating this and that, comparing prices and candles, i feel like i'm the only person with simple strategies. I just use custom indicators, but not much filter, hoping to make it a profittable entry. Maybe that's why my creation cannot make profit all the time.

What kind of price action have you integrated into your EA? Do you trade specific times of day? Times of the week?

@seb-0 I'm a firm believer in karma. This is why I try to do as much good as possible to the world of forex. I hope some day the world will reward me for that in the form of a good profitable EA! LOL đŸ˜„

Have you ever read about Alien System :https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/463573-aliens-extraterrestrial-visual-systems
Do you have any interest in it ?
I try to build EA for this system.

Just read through that real quick, here are my thoughts:
The problem with moving averages is that history is not an indicator of future action, if it was we would all use the same indi and we'd all be good traders. This is why indicators are never THE answer. Indicators should be used to compliment or confirm price action. I would avoid wasting time basing solely on that 1 indicator. So if anything, that might be a good start.

@jsauter86 and both absolutely never draw down more than 30 pips per trade, or even 3% of absolute total of beginning money balance.

@l-andorrĂ  if you're asking about the one running, It made $30 this week only risking 1%. Now I've merged 2 EA's together that operate on different price action rules, so we'll see what happens. Both are 78-80% accurate.

@l-andorrĂ  The one that I posted? Yes. It takes winning trades with good profit percent based off only 2 rules. It doesn't take many trades.
