RE: 2 PC's, Same EAposted in Bug Reports
@jerkha i think they may have been a day or 2 off in when it ended, but nothing that wouldve warranted all trades to be taken incorrectly or profits not hitting target.

Server Time / GMTposted in Bug Reports
Hello,
I am currently trying to modify when my trades can take place and switching from server to GMT made no changes in when my trades were placed. Anyone else experience that? -
RE: Take Profit Trailposted in Questions & Answers
@fideld003 those numbers will depend on your time frame. If you're trading in small times frames you don't want a 100 pip target.
share your project and it'll help.
But for now just to see what it looks like as you watch the strategy tester, put 10 pip trailing stop.
10 pip trailing step.Run that to see how it looks.
Then add in the 3rd one, 10 pips on trailing start.
That final addition forces the position to move 10 pips of profit before it even places the stop loss of 10 with a 10 pip step -
Trade Reentryposted in Questions & Answers
Sorry yall, I'm sure this is asked somewhere and I tried to do my justice to see if I could make other peoples questions apply to my scenario but I am unable to think about the logic.
See picture, I want to reenter this exact trade when the ask or bid cross last open price.
What I have so far is;
For Each Closed Position.
Once a day.
Check profit last closed (below 0).
?Condition block of, Candle High X> (ontrade)Event Data Open Price?
Buy Now or Sell.I know I need a variable for the trade of the day, I am not sure how to reset that every new day.
The condition block is my guess, but I am sure that won't work since the trade is no longer active, it has nothing to reference on the Right operand.

RE: Take Profit Trailposted in Questions & Answers
you are looking for trailing start, threshold. Just below steps in the trailing stop block.
I am using that one block to force all trades to hit 2xATR before it begins to trail 3 pips + 3 steps.

RE: MT5 and FXDreema communication issuesposted in Questions & Answers
A few things I learned in my transition over, and I'm still learning...
Pay attention to the blocks. Some from 4 don't carry over to 5, such as "if trade". Replace with if position.
Next, when saving MT5 files, always, do both types at the top. Its not like MT4 where you could import both files for edit what you need, you must have the mq5 file for FXDreema to read it and then the ex5 is what your platform software will import.

RE: order limit helpposted in Questions & Answers
neither handle many trades very well. In back testing in the beginning I find it easier on resources if I limit trades to 1 or 3 max, just to prove the theory first. Then I will ramp up the # of trades if that is parts of the strategy.

a single SMA zero value cross to determine direction, then price action for entries.
combined with time vs price as well as eliminating a few bad days. -

@roar i see you have forward selected, using a date from 2015...whats 1/2 forward for after that date going to chage?

RE: Strategy Results, Good? Bad? Okay?posted in General Discussions
@roar I think its easier for me to think about in regards to what I'm trying to achieve. First optimize was to increase balance as much as possible. That to me was entries first, so I only checked to be able to modify 6 conditions in total and it took 1.5 hours to optimize. Next step is to increase profit and decrease drawndown by means of allowing it to optimize my hard stop loss and the trailing stop I'm attempting to convert to instead of the normal 2x ATR. With the second run I think it will be 4 paramaters and hopefully will only take 45 minutes to do.
Finally if a 3rd run is needed, I have the data from the last 2 runs that gave the top results in several categories. I will use all of the paramaters to make 1 final optimization. that encompassases all previous conditions in 1 run.

.8 pips over there, i.e. 8 points. Seems to be the same as AAFX. I hear that my european cousins get next to 0 spread
